День батарейки — это неофициальный праздник, который призван напомнить о важности батареек в нашей жизни и о необходимости их правильной утилизации. Он отмечается

18 февраля с 1998 года, когда была основана Международная ассоциация производителей батареек.

Существует несколько способов отметить этот день:

• Проверить заряд батареек во всех своих электронных устройствах и заменить или зарядить их при необходимости.

• Узнать больше о разных типах батареек, их преимуществах и недостатках, а также о том, какие батарейки можно заряжать, а какие нет.

• Собрать все отработанные батарейки и сдать их в специальные контейнеры для утилизации, чтобы не загрязнять окружающую среду.

• Придумать и реализовать свой собственный проект, связанный с батарейками, например, сделать из них лампочку, моторчик или часы.

• Написать стихотворение, песню или рассказ о батарейках и поделиться ими с друзьями или в социальных сетях.

Since then, batteries have become an integral part of our daily life. They are used in various devices: from mobile phones to cars and spacecraft. However, we need to remember that used batteries can harm the environment and human health if they are not disposed of properly. Most batteries contain dangerous chemicals that pollute the soil and water when they get into nature. Every year, about 10 billion batteries are produced in the world, but only about 10% of them are recycled properly. To prevent environmental pollution from batteries, we need to dispose of them correctly. There are many ways to recycle them, including reuse, extraction of valuable materials and neutralization of hazardous components. There are also many programs for collecting and disposing of used batteries, which help to prevent them from getting into nature.
